Using the canvas

Each calendar day is its own canvas. Extra pages for that day sit in the tab strip at the bottom.

Tools

The floating pill at the top of the canvas is for creating. On a phone the icons shrink so every tool still fits on one row. Select, text, sticky, link, list, image, shape, Pomodoro, draw, eraser, and Arrow (connectors). Draw and Eraser open a small flyout under the pill for color / size.

Place tools (text, sticky, link, list, image, shape, timer) return to Select after a drop so you can move the new block. Lock the toolbar if you want to drop several of the same type. Draw, eraser, and Arrow stay sticky until you press Escape, V, or pick Select.

Move around

When the grid is on, place / drag / resize snap to the dots. Hold Alt to nudge freely (desktop). Ink never snaps.

Edit

  • Double-click empty canvas to drop a text note.
  • Notes and stickies edit as markdown source; they render when idle.
  • Right-click for undo, clipboard, lock, layering, sticky stacks, and Clear all ink.
  • Ctrl/Cmd+Z undo; Shift+Z or Y redo.
  • Header Export: JSON (whole day), PNG or PDF (current page).
  • Search in the header matches notes and page titles. The tune control beside the query opens this-day / this-page scope and newest / oldest / name sort. A hit jumps to the day and page (select + pan + flash when it is a block).

iPad / install

The shell fits iPad Safari and Chromium, including the home indicator. Add to Home Screen needs HTTPS (or localhost). Day data always comes from the network — the install caches the app shell only.
